Last period, 2nd class.

Gosh! I do not know where to start... well, I must say that it was a terrible class hahahaha. This is the first time I am aware that I screwed my class. Why? The lesson plan I got was of the unit 10 while the unit studied was the 9. So I got confused, and prepared activities according to the unit 10. Before I started the class, the teacher checked my work and told me: "WHAT THE....?" hahaha just kidding, she told me that my activities were wrong since she was teaching unit 9. In that moment, I just thought: "Oh God why?" And she helped me with a quick warm up. All my work was not the right one, and I did not have any idea of what to do in that moment, but well, I improvised the activities just a little bit and had the warm up I had prepared for the other activities.

This was a very bad experience for me, but as I say, I always learn from every single situation without caring if it was good or bad. Learning is learning. Anyways, my class was awful and somehow, I improvised the activities. From all of this, I could see that the students had fun with the activities, but I felt so ashamed in that moment. My classmate filmed my class, so there are no pictures for this entry. I did not like the video, so I will film it next class hahaha. I hope you did have a very good class :). Take care folks!

  3. Hi Tavix!! I imagine that at the beginning you felt worried, because the lesson plan you prepared was not the right one, but let me tell you that sometimes it is good to have this kind of experience, because you realized the things you are capable of doing!! So proud of you! :) next time be more careful, and do not worry, you did it!!!! congrats!!

  4. Hi Gustavo! In my case I do not know what I would have done. Your situation was complicated because of the misunderstanding, and it could be not your best class, but it is really good that you see it as a learning experience and not as a failure because many of us could take it as a bad experience, but it is not your case. You see it from a different perspective and that´s great because even though the complicated situation, you continued and faced it in a good way; and now you acquired a new experience in your record as a teacher. Congratulations for your job!.

Shame on you Mr. but you did it great....I learn that teaching is not just prepared a class...it is also be able to cope all kind of situations! You did something and that is the important part of this! If it was good or not so good is a second hand matter.....but you did teach!

Nice deed to come up with friend!

  6. OMG!!!!! tavo.....For God sake!!! ehehehehe
I can't imagine how you must have been feeling in that moment.... Coming up with non planned activities is just a complete chanllenge. At the end, you could somehow develop a class. Whether was awful or not, I am pretty sure you learn from it. Next time, you should be more careful with the lesson you are supposed to teach, so you don't face this situation again.
Try to contact the teacher and be sure of the content ok.
There's always something to be improved ok.
Over all, you tried to keep yourself calm, and that is admirable.
    congrats Tavix!!!
